The minister of state for finance and Ndorwa West MP David Bahati was today nominated at Kabale district headquarters.
He was nominated by the district returning officer Nadduli A Musisi.
Speaking to reporters a cool and gentle minister as usual after the nomination said, he wants to focus on raising household incomes and skills development to fight poverty.
He said government had earmarked sh.260Billion to do youths skills development and they also want to follow up the NRM party manifesto feeding in Ndorwa west needs to tackle and improve education, health and infrastructure services.
Bahati said under President Yoweri Museveni Uganda is moving foward.
Others nominated in Kabale are; Immaculate Nisima Tracy an independent candidate Ndorwa West, in Kabale Municipality Dr. Nicholas Kamara was nominated an FDC candidate and Bob Rubasha an independent (Kabale municipality).
And one Viola Nahabwe a UPC leaned independent candidate(Walubiri group) was nominated to contest the Kabale Municipality MP seat among others.
A total of 22 people had booked to be nominated today and four tomorrow who include the Kabale Municipality MP AJA Andrew Baryayanga.
The elections seem tough as supporters seem to want to vote candidates of their religion ignore the party affiliations.
