Uganda Red Cross delivers infection prevention and control (IPC) assorted items to Nwoya and Buliisa district task forces.
With support from Total Uganda, Uganda Red cross has delivered a number of assorted Health items to support the districts of Nwoya and Buliisa in the fight against COVID19 pandemic.
The delivered items are worth 75 million and include disposable gloves, surgical gloves, heavy duty gloves, respirators (KN95), goggles, facemasks, overalls, surgical hoods, gumboots, face shields, protective gowns (suits sets), protective aprons and spray bottles.
Other donated items are; hand sanitizers, liquid soap, Jik, bar-soap, pump sprayers, infrared thermometers, and batteries.
The assorted items have been handed in by Ms. Betty Justine Anyiri the Red Cross Vice Chairperson Central Governing Board together with Ms. Irene Nakasiita the Red Cross Spokesperson to the two districts taskforces.

Anyiri asked the taskforces to put the donations to the right use and to follow the Ministry of health guidelines and World health Organisation (WHO) guidelines in passing on the donations.
“Put the donation to the right use and follow both government and WHO guidelines, it’s possible to fight Covid: 19 but we need concerted efforts” she said.
Nakasiita said it is possible for Uganda to continue a steady move and fight in battling Covid: 19 but advised the communities to make personal efforts since government and NGOs have done their part.
The officials of the two district task forces were very grateful to Red Cross Uganda and its partners Total Uganda.
