One of President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni’s daughters has applied to the National Identification Registration Authority (Nira) trying to change her official name, fully intent on dropping her husband’s name.
Diana Kamuntu Museveni Kyaremera was Brought into the world in 1980 and is aged age 42 and is the youngest of President Museveni’ s youngsters. Diana Museveni Kyaremera has been married to Geoffrey Kamuntu for almost twenty years.
Formally wedded to Kamuntu starting around 2004, Diana and her husband have been blessed d with three children. The reason of dropping Kamuntu’s name is yet to be established and will be shared in the due course.
In a notification of progress of name dated September 29, 2022, Diana Kamuntu clarifies that she means to change her name from Diana Museveni Kamuntu to Diana Museveni Kyaremera, dropping Kamuntu, her husband’s name.
NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT I, DIANA MUSEVENI KAMUNTU of P. O. Box 9021, Kampala, intend to apply to the National Identification Registration Authority to change my name to DIANA MUSEVENI KYAREMERA, ” wrote Diana Museveni. ” I intend to formally and absolutely renounce and abandon the use of the name KAMUNTU and assume and adopt in place of that name the name of KYAREMERA. ” The Letter Reads In Part
