RWEFRA roots for Rwenzori development

Rwenzori Fraternity (RWEFRA) has appealed to community members to join the Association and focus on social and economic development of the region.

This was revealed by Papa Paluku, the President RWEFRA during the first Executive meeting held at Snow View Hotel in Kasese town.

Mr Paluku noted that the Association is focusing on constructing RWEFRA Offices, a modern hotel and tourism promotion on its 5-acre piece of land in Kikorongo trading center in Kasese district.

He says the Association already has 400m shillings through the SACCO that they operate to help economically transform society.

Rwefra secretary General Counsel Kakinire Matte said the 5-acre piece of land will help as a business to generate income.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) Rwefra Mr. Kapex Masereka urged members to have the commitment to the Association work for its activities to run smoothly.

Edith Muhindo, a member of the executive urged public to join them to promote tourism and environmental conservation.

Rwefra covers districts of Kasese Bundibugyo, Ntoroko, and Bunyangabu. It started in 2014 with the aim of providing a platform for networking,collaboration,peace and development and tackling social issues affecting the region.

RWEFRA is an umbrella body for young professionals and concerned citizens hailing from the Rwenzori region.
