Ugandan road users of Kampala, Mityana-Mubende- Kyenjojo-Kabalole road have cried out to government saying the road is so bad and has become an accident trap.
Locals using buses plying the above route want government to get serious and complete civil works on the road which stalled some years back.
In October last year, the Minister of Finance Matia Kassaija said that construction works were set to begin or resume but civil works have not been made since then. The works on Mityana Mubende road started in 2000 but one wonders why it has not been completed up to now.
A Ugandan Presidential hopeful Mike Rogers Kasami told the eastafricanwatch.net that although most people on that route and especially Tooro region have voted the NRM government in the past several years they are being sidelined in terms of development.
“Ugandans should not be taken for granted by this NRM government, let them build the Mityana road which goes to Kabalore, or the people are going to be woken up to demand for it or vote us the opposition” he added.
He added ” President Museveni and NRM government should give the people of this area social services, for roads they are essential to them”.
Kamugisha who was found on a link bus said they are suffering from several accidents because the Mityana road is poor.

One Kemigisha said ” we are losing people to accidents on this road, let President Museveni and his team care”.
Several other people who use this have urged government to work on the road or they stage a revolt in 2026 general elections.
