This major hiring initiative aligns with Pebuu Africa’s vision to revolutionize agent banking and merchant business communities by bringing financial services closer to undeserved areas. The new Sales

Executives will play a crucial role in empowering local communities by facilitating access to essential financial resources and various bank products.

With over 200 Territory Managers (Field Supervisors) already in its network and operations spanning all regions of Uganda, Pebuu continues to demonstrate its commitment to youth employment, financial inclusion, economic empowerment, and the digitisation of financial services in Africa.

During the training of these Sales Executives at their Offices in Kololo, Ms. Leilah Kasozi Nansasi, Enterprise Growth Manager at Pebuu Africa said, “We are excited to recruit 1,000 new team members, so far we have managed to onboard about 330 who will help drive our mission of transforming the digital finance landscape by creating effective channels that provide easy accessibility for different masses.

These Sales Executives will enable communities to fully understand the various financial products our clients offer. Our Sales Executives will be at the forefront of delivering critical services to undeserved regions, bridging the gap in financial access.”

To ensure that the new hires are fully equipped for achievement, Pebuu has launched an intensive training program at the Pebuu Academy. The training focuses on advanced sales techniques, market engagement strategies, and the company’s suite of financial solutions, preparing the new Sales Executives to engage effectively with communities and clients.

Mr. Hillary Atwongyeire, Pebuu Africa’s Agent and Merchant Recruitment Manager, leads a training session at the Pebuu Academy.

Speaking at the training grounds, Mr. Hillary Atwongyeire, Pebuu Africa’s Agent and Merchant Recruitment Manager, said, “As Pebuu Africa, we are known for our commitment to youth empowerment. We invest in the youth, which is why we are open to hiring hardworking and focused individuals, especially women. Our current team is about 62% women, and these are hardworking women eager to create change in the communities they operate. This initiative is a testament to our dedication to providing a sustainable and inclusive work environment. The Pebuu Academy serves as a hub for professional training, with a curriculum designed to cultivate skills in technology, agent banking, financial empowerment, and merchant services.”

The recruitment of 1,000 Sales Executives will significantly enhance Pebuu’s ability to scale its operations and meet the growing demand for digital banking services across Uganda and other high-growth African

markets. With these new hires, Pebuu will continue to improve its reach and impact, especially in remote and underserved areas, ensuring that everyone, regardless of location, has access to the financial services they need for stability and growth.

“We are proud to be creating meaningful job opportunities while simultaneously improving access to critical financial services. Our Sales Executives are not just employees; they are change-makers who will

help shape the future of financial inclusion so we call upon the youth to apply and take part in this initiative,” said Leilah Kasozi Nansasi.
