I was on Monday 4th Aug 2025 blessed to visit my longtime friend and work mate Gen Karugaba with whom we worked in a former PPU and PGB.
His hard work and commitment are always his values. It’s difficult to find such leaders.
We discussed means and ways of helping our people who find challenges in diaspora. Such challenges include travel, documentation, study, emergency cases as they travel and connect to outside countries.
And back home we tried to discuss how we can support people of Busiro North in community services and development plans
As an MP aspirant for Busiro North (Wakiso district) I found it prudent to see how we can support our students and people who stay in the UK and of course all Uganda.
As an MP, one is supposed to lobby for the community and that is what i have started to do for my constituency.

It was a fruitful working visit and we shall have a lot to do for Busiro North and Wakiso district generally.
On the question of how is UK? it’s a great country and very organized and well planned. And every time I visit UK, I usually have a lot to learn from them in terms of leaning from their best practices in administration and systems management.
God bless Gen. Karugaba the DA Uganda High Commission UK.
Thanks for the Patriotic Spirit, for God and my Country Dr Damian Kato ABOOKIÂ – MP aspirant FOR Busiro North (writer of the above opinion)
