Ntare school boys have today been seen in Mbarara city where they stormed a Kyapati selling centre- Mbarara Home of Kyapatis an area behind the building of minister Bright Rwamirama.
The Kyapati goes for sh. 1000 and charges between sh. 2000 to 5000 while packed with beans to make a ‘Kikomando’. Students were seen today lining up for this ‘food’ when they should have left school having been served lunch.
They were however very well disciplined and move in school gray t shirts.
Ntare School is a residential and prestigious all-boys’ secondary school located in Mbarara, Mbarara District, south western Uganda. It was founded in 1956 by a Scottish educator named William Crichton
It is a school of rich parents most of whom are westerners.
The boys who stormed the Kyapati selling centre could be excused to be changing diet from the usual but supposedly good meals served at school.
Some Ntare boys who are usual left to move out of school officially also were spotted in shopping malls buying shoes, bags and clothes.
The school gives them a break in weekends from 2PM to around six to allow them relax and do some shopping. This kind of management makes them relax and discourages them from striking over being too restricted at school.
