The deputy National Coordinator, Team Thorough YKM Kira House, Mr. Nuwagaba Naris, through Team Thorough’s structures in Kigezi Sub-region, is chairing a three-day (3) development and poverty eradication workshop in the area.
Mr. Nuwagaba is emphasizing the need for Kigezi Sub-region and Uganda 🇺🇬 in general, to take health standards as one of the measures of poverty eradication fighting tools.
He said, “we must all stick with the Ministry of Health guidelines, to avoid that deadly disease, that consume our saved money, meant to pay school fees, and other life necessities”.
Mr. Nuwagaba said that conducting these medical camps, helps Ugandans to identify communities’ challenges against which the government plans on how to tackle them in its national development plans.
Some medical camps were conducted in areas of Bikurungu, Bwambara in Rukungiri District, together with the Lion Club of Bwambara.
“Our message is that people need to take heath care seriously to avoid killer diseases and health related issues in our areas as a way of fighting poverty, ignorance, and poor health, through mindset changing ideology” he added.
Besides health camps, the youths are mobilizing the communities to take advantage of various government social-economic programs, projects, innitiatives aimed at poverty eradication and as well asking them to be vigilant to follow up government funds sent by the central government to local councils and government by ensuring accountability and value for money.

Team thorough YKM Kira house we are Development mobilization Team in Poverty Eradication in Communities through mindset change in organized groups mostly women and youth. The organization has moved all over the country Sensitizing people in different communities on how they can create wealth mostly through commercial Agriculture like Coffee growing, cocoa chicken rearing, Goat rearing and Cows so through this many groups have started visible productive activities, and the programs have created jobs in communities.

“Our mission is to see developed communities, our main Objectives; poverty eradication, fight Ignorance, fight poor health, all this is done through Development mobilization and mind set change ideology.” Mr. Nuwagaba said
“And through this we have managed to secure half bursaries to our need students we meet in different communities as a way of fighting ignorance in different institutions of learning, many people have started visible productive activities for weak creation and jobs” he added.
Target;
“Our Target is to see at least by 2040 most families are in money economy which means they can access all family needs that include good education and health” Mr. Nuwagaba said
