Kabale Police is holding a security 2000 guard who is suspected to use Security 2000 guns to rob people in greater Kabale region.
Security 2000 is a private security company with offices in Kabale district.
It is suspected that the suspect does his moves and uses the security company guns to rob people and has 10 motorcycles which he could have acquired by attacking and possibly killing the owners.
The Kabale District Police Commander Joseph Bakaleke said frank Mwesigwa is in their detention and his file is at the Resident state attorney where it will be sanctioned soon.
“The file of stealing animals is with RSA, any time he will appear in court for plea taking. Frank Mwesigwa is in their detention in Kabale he cut off the figures of one Rugumayo who was trying to stop him from stealing his animals”  Bakaleke said
Rugumayo and Mwesigwa all hail from Kaharo sub county of Kabale district.
Some sources said that Mwesigwa and his group are  habitual robbers involved in robberies in Kabaraga Hill Kaharo, Rwahi, Muhanga, Katuna Road, Muko etc while using Boda Bodas most of which are said to be robbed from people they kill.
“This is the gang leader. His name is Frank. Son to Batebekyera Lamuel from Kaharo. He works with a Security company, Security 2000 . That is where they get Gun to use in robberies. As well as target those withdrawing money from Banks when they are guarding them” a source added.
“This motorcycle No. UED 962G is the one whose owners cut off Rugumayo’s hand as you see in this picture. It was arrested after the owners run away and it is parked at Kabale Police Station along with another one whose two owners were arrested by Highway police and is also parked at Police with them. Anyone who can identify the owners of this motorcycle Boda Boda should help in identifying them” a source added.
