Be alert as a Christian, shove off false teachers, an opinion of Pastor Magara Darious

False teachers were in existence even during the time of the  Apostles of Jesus. They even existed in the time of the Old Testament (Bible). That is why you see God complaining in the Bible that they would make him speak when he had not spoken( false Prophets). They exist for some reason, we do not know why?

They are like pests (false teachers) that they move along with food products like dry beans and maize. But the Bible, especially Apostle Paul teaches us to be awake, detect and shun false teachers. When they penetrate a church they blow it, so is the home. These false teachers are soft spoken, ‘smart’ you need to be spiritually awake to detect them. Some know the Bible scriptures than many of us! The show up in churches, homes, public places, TV and various forums especially social media.

Two ways to detect them;

  1. See and evaluate their fruits, actions. For example, if their fruits and actions are contrary to what the Bible states, then they are wrong and false.
  2. The bible teaches us to test their spirit. So as a spirit field Christian you can detect in the spirit, the spirit behind a person that comes to you speaking and presenting, teaching about God. (1 John 4:1).

Let us be knowledgeable in the word of God, that will help us to know and shove off false teachers. Let us also be prayerful.

In political and governance terms, someone who preaches against any good government program is some sort of false teacher.

False teachers in both the church and government deserve punishment but because of God’s grace they are allowed to exist and be since God in his ways deals with them.

Below is the bible text on false teachers;

Matthew 7:15-18, 20-23 KJV

[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

[21] Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Pastors, Christians, beloved of God, be watchful, detect and shun false teachers/false prophets, they are disastrous to the church.
