Body of Ugandan girl still stuck in Saudi Arabia


The body of a Ugandan girl who died in Saudi Arabia where she was working as a maid in late may this year is still stuck abroad.

Judith Namulangwa, 27 who died Saudi Arabia on ‘Kyeyo’ her body is still ‘a subject of investigations’ according to Foreign Affairs ministry officials in Uganda.

A ministry official identified as Susan whom i pressed to explain why the body has delayed said “some bodies take even a year especially if the relatives want compensation”
She added “if you want the body with out compensation we can bring it in a week other wise wait for the investigations to be completed. Relatives said Namulangwa died mysteriously.
They added that they have almost given up on both the body and the compensation where government owes them a proper explanation.
The deceased was connected to the job by creative Group International limited which is located in Mengo on Sentema road.
The organization boss Williams Sekaja who is equally stuck said they are still waiting for government to bring back the body and the report of death.

“We are still stuck we look to government to help bring back the body the cause of death will be stated in the postmortem report done abroad” Sekaja said in a telephone interview.
Relatives said they last talked to her in March this year and she then told them she would be killed. And thy later got information in May that she was dead. Namulangwa (late) left the country in July last year.
Efforts to reach the line ministry ministers were futile.
