Byamugisha Ambrose has been appointed academic registrar of California River of Life University in charge of East African Region.
Sources at the University in the Kampala office confirmed the appointment.
Dr. Kayongo Stephen the Dean for the University in charge of Africa also confirmed the appointment of Byamugisha.
Dr. Kayongo said Byamugisha had been appointed by the University’s board in California and would resume work soon.
Byamugisha comes with knowledge in University top management skills and at one time work for Kampala International University Kampala campus.
Speaking to the Eastafricanwatch.net today Byamugisha he said was very happy to join the prestigious University and that he is ready to serve.
He said he is also happy to promote education and knowledge about God in the region saying that Christian leaders will do better if they are taught through courses such as divinity by God fearing leaders and world exposed experts.
The University which started recently spearheaded by Dr. Kayongo now has around 15 physical campuses and other students are learning through online means(zoom).
Thanks to Prof. Jin H. Kim the founder of California River of Life University because all the students in Africa are studying on full scholarships.
Over 100 students will on 14th September, 2024 graduate with various certificates, some masters others PhDs and others with Bachelors in divinity. Prof. Kim will lead his officials from the US to coffer the degrees to graduands.
The graduation ceremony will take place at Nsangi Christian Fellowship Church (in Nsangi town) which is the main host of the University in Uganda but sources said that Prof. Kim has earmarked some good land for purchase which will be the headquarters of the University in East Africa.
