Chairperson LC5 Kabarole District Richard Rwabuhinga Receives “Shining Amidst Darkness” Book from Dr. Stephen B. Kayongo During California River of Life University Rwenzori Campus Launch
KABAROLE DISTRICT, UGANDA — The LC5 Chairperson of Kabarole District, Richard Rwabuhinga, received a copy of the inspirational book “Shining Amidst Darkness” from its author Dr. Stephen B. Kayongo during a special ceremony that also marked the launch of the Rwenzori Campus of California River of Life University.
The event took place at Kibo Pentecostal Church in Nyamwirima and attracted church leaders, believers, and community members who gathered to witness the milestone for Christian education and leadership development in the region.
During the ceremony, Dr. Kayongo handed over the book “Shining Amidst Darkness,” which had been launched earlier, to the district leader as a symbolic gesture highlighting the message of faith, hope, and resilience contained in the publication.
The occasion was also attended by the chief guest, Archbishop Moses Odong, who commended the vision behind expanding faith-based higher education through the establishment of the Rwenzori Campus.
Leaders at the gathering further described the venue as a “Place of Light,” symbolizing the role the new campus is expected to play in spreading knowledge, Christian values, and leadership development across the Rwenzori region.
The Rwenzori Campus of California River of Life University is expected to serve students from across Kabarole District and neighboring areas by providing opportunities for theological and leadership training.
Attendees expressed optimism that the campus will nurture future leaders equipped with knowledge, character, and faith to positively transform their communities.
