Don jets in as Vision Group boss

President Yoweri Museveni’s Press Secretary Don Innocent Wanyama has been appointed the Managing Director/CEO of Vision Group.

Mr Wanyama (bellow) replaces Robert Kabushenga, who had steered the country’s largest media house for over 15 years.

The announcement was made by Vision Group Chairman, Mr Patrick Ayota.

Kabushenga resigned from the being the Vision Group MD in January, a position he had held since October 2006.

In a statement, Kabushenga said he had asked the board for permission to retire early.

“I am proud of the success we achieved and the impact we have had in society. This was possible because we worked together as a team,” Kabushenga wrote in a short statement circulated on his social media channels.

Kabushenga said he had agreed to stay on for 90 more days to oversee the transition of his successor.

Vision Group owns TVs, Radios and Newspapers and other media platforms across the country and has registered most of the this growth under Kabushenga’s leadership. Great luck for Wanyama.
