An Australian-based trained Cardiologist practices medicine from Merrylands
Information coming to our desk indicates that Dr. Aggrey Kiyingi is being investigated on over the murder of Kakembo Faruk, his former worker.
Kiyingi who is an Australian-based trained Cardiologist (Heart Specialist) has a practice located in Merrylands and has been on the run from Uganda for several years for murder.
He was in court battle related with the murder of his wife, Robinah Kiyingi.
According to reports, in 2003 Dr. Kiyingi filed for divorce in Uganda against his then wife Robinah Kiyingi. However, Robinah challenged the jurisdiction of the Courts in Uganda in the matter and filed similar proceedings in the Australian Court because of the property the family had in Australia. Robinah’s resolve greatly angered Dr. Kiyingi which brought misunderstandings in the family. Around that confusion Robinah Kiyingi was murdered in Kampala Uganda.
In confusing circumstances Kakembo Faruk, his former worker was also later killed.
In 2015 Dr. Kiyingi was placed on a wanted list over the killing of at least seven people, including Muslim clerics and police officers.
Security forces during a raid discovered a notebook belonging to one of the major suspects. In the notebook, was a telephone number that was traced back to the estranged doctor.
Police linked the killings to the rebel group Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), which they alleged that Dr. Kiyingi has been funding from Australia through his party, Uganda Federal Democratic organization.
According to sources, this put him on security forces high alert and most wanted list but Kiyingi has since kept a low profile until recently when a murder connected to him happened.
Kiyingi’s former gateman, Kakembo Faruk was found dead last month under suspicions of poisoning.
Sources allege Kakembo was present on the night of Robinah’s murder but had since fled and had been missing.
Kakembo was recently contacted by the Police and had vowed to help them with their investigation. However, Kakembo was never heard from again and was later found dead.
Kakembo’s family members allege that Kiyingi is behind his death stating that he had earlier paid off his gateman. Trouble arose when Kiyingi got wind of Kakembo’s contact with Police, and devised means of eliminating Kakembo.
The family alleges that Kiyingi contacted one of his assassins who poisoned Kakembo.
According to inside information, security forces have opened a fresh investigation into the matter as most of the eye witnesses pinning Dr. Kiyingi are either dying or disappearing.
It could not be verified by this news agency that those dying or disappearing were being affected by Dr Kiyingi and his operatives or were dying naturally.
