Rukiga District Woman MP Hon. Dr. Sylvia Alinaitwe has been elected Chairperson of the Rukiga District Roads Committee by council during a session held today.
The council gave Dr. Sylvia the mandate to lead the committee, citing the urgent need to prioritize roads. Good feeder roads will connect communities, ease harvests and improve transportation of farm products to markets and social development.
Known for driving socio-economic initiatives that have improved livelihoods, Dr. Sylvia is expected to use the new role to accelerate development across the district.
