DTB Bank is set to close to branches in Kampala. The affected branches are; Natete and Owino which will be merged with two other branches effective 1st June 2020.
Natete will be merged with Ndeeba( at Ndeeba) and Owino with Nakivubo(at Nakivubo branch) according to a statement from the bank.

The bank management however calls the merge an expansion and says the customers can continue to access the banks services via agents, network branches, internet and mobile banking.
Sharon Ireeta the banks communications manager said the merge branches will galvanize their services and serve the customers better.
She called the merger an expansion although did not give details. Also in a related development the bank will be closing at 2PM effective Thursday this week. The Bank said the changes in time of service has been caused by the curfew time being implemented in Uganda by the government as a measure of fighting corona virus.
DTB which is headed by Vargahese Thambi as its MD in Uganda has been having 33 branches country wide.
