President Museveni has said will keep social media giant Facebook shut down in Uganda over claims that the social media giant is arrogant.
“Facebook are arrogant. They were being used to attack us. When our own people tried to answer back they shut us” he said.
He said he suspects they were being used by the opposition and those fighting Uganda’s development.
Mr Museveni has made the remarks today while meeting media owners at State House Nakasero.
“It has been 2yrs since Facebook was chased out. I hope Facebook now knows who is in charge of Uganda. When they stop playing we shall consider them ” he said.

Museveni said nothing has changed in Uganda since Facebook was shutdown.
“Isn’t everything running normally? Hope they know who owns Uganda …when they stop playing their games, we will reopen” Museveni reasserted.
The President also spoke about the economy and security among other things. He advised the media managers to ensure professionalism.
