Married Couples have been urged to be exemplary and good examples in order to have nurtured children.
Children who grew up in broken and non functional home tend to be involved in bad vices such as drug abuse, per-marital sex as well as delinquencies.
The Observation was made on Friday by the Bishop of Kampala Diocese, his Grace the most Reverend Paul Ssemogerere,while opening a two day Christian Conference on Marriage to that was organised by the Bible Society of Church of Uganda in Kampala.
Bishop Ssemogerere asked married couples to always communicate with each other in order to deny the devil a chance of destroying their marriages and families.
Bishop Ssemogerere represented the Archbishop of Church of Uganda,his Grace the Most Reverend Dr.Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu.
The guest Speaker, Rev.Stephen Gaukroger the President and founder of Clarion Trust International , added that the Two day’s Conference will enable participants explore God’s plan for successful marriage and celebrating the joy of the relationship at its best.
“Many young people often look at successful married couples for wise counsel and godly examples that can influence thousands of people in the community” said Rev.Gaukroger.
Justice Mike Chibita,the conference host and the President of Bible Society of Uganda observed that , marriage is the bedrock of every nation,but it’s not always well understood and practiced.
“At the marriage conference , participants will explore what the bible has to say about marriage and, through presentations and workshops they will learn together how Christian marriage can benefit from their own experiences” said Justice Chibita .
Other speakers at the conference include; Mr.Paul Bosson from the United Kingdom and will be closed by the Minister of Education and First Lady Hon.Janet Museveni.
