Kasibante was slated to hold rallies in Rukungiri, Rubanda, Rukiga, and Kanungu districts, with Kabale and Kisoro planned for the weekend , as he seeks voter support for the country’s top seat.

When approached by reporters, Kasibante confirmed he had not toured Kigezi, citing ongoing management of multiple party aspirants seeking nominations under the NPP banner.

“It’s true I have not campaigned in the Kigezi sub-region because the party is currently handling several individuals interested in contesting under the NPP flag. We are waiting for parliamentary nominations to conclude before planning campaigns,” Robert Kasibante.

He added that once MP nominations are finalized, the party will formally approach the Electoral Commission to reschedule the Kigezi visits.
