Hon Fred Mwesigye Isanga Son of the National Resistance Army (NRA) historical who has set his eyes to win the Nakaseke North Constituency Member of Parliament seat was last week nominated by the NRM party.
He was nominated on Friday 27th June 2025 from the NRM headquarters with several supporters.
Speaking in Kampala a few days after his nomination, he called upon NRM supporters in his area and country wide to intensify mobilization for the NRM party saying that it is the only way they can ensure NRM party win for the President Yoweri Museveni, MPs and local council leaders.
He said that the NRM party is not only the party running government but has also delivered and if they mobilise people to continue supporting government programs more achievements will be registered in all sectors of the economy.
Hon Mwesigye specifically asked his supporters do massive grass root support for him saying he plans to work with government to develop Nakaseke North and especially to fight poverty by mobilizing the community in the constituency to appreciate government programs.
Mwesigye is a son of Edward Isanga of Nakaseke district who is now 108 years. Mzee Isanga and his family contributed about 200 cows to the soldiers of NRA liberation (1981-1986) and also shared intelligence information to the group that later toppled President Tito Okello Lutwa in 1986.
He is not only coming to share on the ‘fruits of independence’ to their family’s labor to the NRM war struggle but to consolidate the gains the NRM government has made over the years.
Despite a humiliating loss of NRM party in Kawempe North by elections where Elias Luyimbazi won recently beating NRM’s Faridah Nambi, Fred Mwesigye Isanga has called for intensified NRM party mobilization. But later Luyimbazi win was overturned by court as the case is ongoing.
Hon Mwesigye also called upon NRM party supporters and mobilisers not to fear and worry about their party in Buganda.
He said basing on the achievements of the NRM party and government in Buganda region and generally in the country, NRM party supporters and mobilisers should intensify mobilization for the party.
“Tell them tewali kuva ku main (stay put on Mzee Museveni) and teli kuzikiza muliilo (no retreat no surrender), we have gains as a party we can bank on that to mobilize in Buganda and Uganda” Mwesigye said.
Mwesigye who is an NRM party director (National Coordinators Forum) and a Gen Muhooozi Kainerugaba fanatic called upon the NRM leaders to banish divisionism that has cost them support in the Buganda region.
He said Buganda region has been a beneficiary of all government programs that have been implemented country wide. Talk about Operation Wealthy Creation (OWC), Plan for modernization of Agriculture (PMA), Emyoga and PDM. It has benefited from seed schools, health services and now the road infrastructure which is so massive in greater Kampala.

“Roads are being worked on in all divisions. It is true we have some weakness and gaps as the NRM government but there are serious tangible achievements in energy, water and now infrastructure sectors among others especially roads” he said.
Mwesigye who is aspiring for Nakaseke North Member of Parliament seat, said they are well focused when they hopefully join Parliament soon, they will consolidate on the achievements of NRM government and work on areas that are lacking.
“I humbly and strongly appeal to our NRM leaders and comrades in Buganda and Uganda in general to work together and win seats in the next elections and to prioritize the agendas and needs of the masses against their personal needs as leaders.
“Our losses here in Buganda have been generally attributed to lack of good coordination but otherwise government has worked for the people in this region. If we get steady and unite, we can win and win in Buganda and in other regions of Uganda in the next elections”

Mwesigye has in the meantime advised leaders to mobilize the locals in their communities to rally their people and to utilize Operation Wealthy Creation (OWC), Plan for modernization of Agriculture (PMA), Emyoga and PDM to fight poverty in families and communities of Uganda.
