Hon Mwesigye Fred Isanga has rejected the Nakaseke North constituency NRM Member of Parliament results citing several irregularities causing to his loss.
Speaking to the eastafricanwatch.net reporter, Hon Mwesigye today said besides announcing Prof. Wilber Ahabwe Mananyisa as the winner of Nakaseke North constituency in Nakaseke district there was no genuine elections on Thursday.
“My supporters are disappointed and want me to contest as an independent should the NRM party officials in Nakaseke fail to announce me as the winner or order for fresh elections.

“I Mwesigye Fred Isangawsnt thank our supporters for participating in the NRM elections on Thursday. But I and My supporters disagree with the outcome of the NRM elections in Nakaseke North because the exercise was marred by several irregularities that includes voter bribery, intimidation, violence and use of old NRM party registers in some polling stations.
I want to ask my supporters to remain calm in due course we shall share our next course of action.
We cannot allow our support to be put to waste. I am consulting all stakeholders with a view that I will contest as an independent candidate should the NRM party fail to resolve our election complaints” said Hon Mwesigye Fred Isanga.
The NRM officials in the district first took some days before announcing Prof. Wilber Ahabwe Mananyisa as the winner of Nakaseke North constituency. The exercise attracted around 7 aspirants and most are unsatisfied with the outcome.
Hon Mwesigye’s supporters said they were denied chance to vote and the exercise had several irregularities which they can not allow to go un addressed.
Mwesigye Isanga is the Son of the National Resistance Army (NRA) historical, one Edward Isanga of Nakaseke district who is now 108 years. Mzee Isanga and his family contributed about 200 cows to the soldiers of NRA liberation (1981-1986) and also shared intelligence information to the group that later toppled President Tito Okello Lutwa in 1986.
Isanga (junior) is a farmer and businessman who is also well connected to government and marketed Ugandan industries and factories of Kapeke headed by Gen Salim Saleh some time back.

Isanga is the chairperson of the central region of NRM National Coordinators Forum and he is also the national chief Mobiliser of PLU.
The incumbnet MP Enock Kalulu Nyongore is among those said to have lost to Prof Ahabwe and Tumukunde’s son, one Phillip Tumukunde Ndamira.
