British, Chinese, Kenyan and American youths can marry in Uganda
Bahima tribe in Uganda is a section of Banyakole people who mainly live or are born in Ankole region. Mbarara, Nyabushozi, Kazo, Kiruhura and some parts of Isingiro districts are the main districts where the Bahima people (tribe) live.
They are basically cantle keepers and beautiful human beings. They are usually tall and cavy. And they speak Runyankole language and some speak English as most Ugandans have been exposed to education and speaking English language.
Due to education and like any Ugandan tribe the Bahima can be married any where if these girls come across loving any serious marriage suitors or partners on the globe. In this case a British, American or Chinese or Kenyan national can find love from the heart of Ankole if he meets our single Banyakore-Bahima girls since they are eligible and lovely human beings.
Like for most of Ankole, marriages are pursued through a middleman usually called Katerarume. This is usually done if a man has identified a girl he wants to marry. The middle man helps to negotiate on the bride price and to plan with the family of the girl two or three traditional functions that are done before a wedding is done. But the main traditional function is Okuhigira(giveaway ceremony).
Parents prepare their girls before getting married and usually they have a good record of sticking in their marriage. This means they keep their marriage vows and can marry across all religions.
Like for most girls in the world, Bahima also love to be cared for and pampered.
Bride price
Bride price is usually paid with cows; the number varies from family to family although they are quite an expensive tribe to marry in. But some people think and say the number of cows one gives as dowry is usually paid back in appreciation by the family of the girl during okuhingira(giveaway ceremony).
A friend recently married a Muhima girl and paid the bride price that was asked and was in rerun given a kraal with over 100 cows in Mubende district.

Origins of Bahima People of Uganda
The cattle-keeping community who live in western Uganda, are more known for their unique attachment to their cattle. They are classified as âHamiticised Negro cattle people of north Africa originâ by anthropologists.
Their human and cattle genetics indicate that they and the Batusti of Rwanda probably originate from the Central Sahara area. Despite the influx of foreign cultures and religious influences, their traditional marriages have stood the test of time. The Bahima still love practicing their traditional marriages, thanks mainly to the elders who still emphasize the need for cultural marriages.
Prohibitions and preferences governed the choice of mates. To chose a mate families considered caste, wealth and kinship. For example, the caste distinction has always prohibited a Muhima from marrying a Mwiru.
A socially recognised marriage could only take place between a man and a woman who were then both members of the ruling Bahima.
Kingship prohibitions prevent a Muhima from marrying his fatherâs brothers and motherâs sistersâ daughters. However cross-cousin marriage was permitted. The principal duty of the wife was to bear children. Therefore, a man endeavoured to a wife from a family in which women were prolific.
