Am an FDC Parliamentary candidate for 2026 general elections, I have not joined NRM and I wish to clarify and correct the recent false publication.
I Ariho Nasasira an FDC candidate for Rujumbura constituency in Rukungiri district wish to formally respond to a publication in which I was reported as having withdrawn from the Parliamentary race as FDC candidate and joined the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Th e published information is false and misleading. I have not joined NRM, am still an FDC MP candidate for Rujumbura constituency, nor have I made any declaration to that effect. Any decision regarding my political position has never been communicated by me to the said reporter or media house.
I therefore publish this immediate correction and clarification with the same prominence as the original story, in the interest of truth, fairness, and responsible journalism.
In fact, I request Gen Jim Muhwezi to withdrawal inmy favour and save his face from defeat.
I reserve my right to take further action should this misinformation continue to circulate.
I as an MP candidate remain committed to transparency and truth in public discourse and request the people of Rujumbura to vote for me in the coming elections for good representation in Parliament and ensuring service delivery to them.
AS FDC party we plan to bring cash in the hands of all Ugandans, fight corruption and promote rule of law and justice.
