The government has asked investors in wetlands to apply for land in gazetted industrial parks to avoid losing their projects.
According to finance State Minister for investment, Evelyn Anite, plans are underway to prioritise such categories of people in land allocations to limit the pressure on the country’s environment.
“They will be given free dry land; we have plenty of it, not only at our industrial park in Namanve, but also in other parts of the country such as Mbale and Soroti,” she said.
