Hon. Joseph Mutebile Ntegyereize the aspiring Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality has appealed to the residents of Kabale town to vote for him in large numbers and give him the NRM party flag.
He also emphasized the importance of voting for the NRM party, arguing that opposition members often face challenges working with NRM government which is n power and has resources.
Hon. Mutebile noted that it has been a long time since Kabale voted for NRM and encouraged the residents to make a wise decision this time by voting for the party and him in the NRM party primaries.
He made the remarks yesterday while addressing residents of Bugongi, Kakabano in the Northern Division ahead of the NRM primaries. The primaries are scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
During his visit, Hon. Mutebile appealed to the residents to wake up early on Thursday this week vote him and guard their votes to ensure their win.
Additionally, Hon. Mutebile raised concerns about the practice of voters being transported from one polling station to another, which he described as undesirable.
He advised the residents to be vigilant and ensure that the voting process is conducted fairly.
Hon. Mutebile a banker and young brother to the late BOU governor Prof Mutebile, expressed his gratitude to the residents of Bugongi, Kakabano for turning out in large numbers to welcome him and advised them to support him up to Parliament.
Hon. Mutebile in the party primaries faces; Hon Andrew Baryayanga the former Kabale Municipality MP and Byamungu Rwashabutare among others. The winner of the NRM party Primaries will face the incumbent MP Hon Dr. Nicholas Kamara in the fourth coming national elections.
The NRM hotly contested race is between Hon. Mutebile and Hon Baryayanga. The race has as usual in Kabale, attracted religious sectarianism and tensions which continues to tear Kabale residents apart as Anglicans and roman Catholics fight for political offices.
