Kigezi College Butobere is on drip according to an Old boy who recently vested the school to assess its condition. Below is a letter which he shared with Old boys on a what sup group .

Members as most of you requested I was able to be on ground at siniya to see the situation but as I talk things are not easy,if you reach the school if u r not care full u end up shading tears.There fore this is the picture or circumstances in which the school operates in.
1.The school has no piped water and rain harvest water.
2.Prep is by choice
3.Almost all students don’t put on uniform.
4.No askaris coz the school can’t afford paying them and there is free exit and entry by students.
5.The school has only one toilet but also in poor state.
6Teachers are divided and according to HM 10 teachers are retiring this yr and next yr.wic means these ones can’t deliver.
7.The school has no librarian.The upper library is too dusty.which means it is not used.
8.Bullying and teasing still a problem.10 students are in S.1.
Personnel gap.The HM doesn’t have a Deputy ,the one in place is pararised.They communicate via texting msgs.
9.Drug abuse by most of students ,thus making teachers fear them.students are above the law.
10.Drastic drop in enrollment.this is due to bad attitude in the community
11.Financial constraints.The school is in debts.very soon it might be dragged to courts of law.
12.lack motivation.Both teachers and students shd be motivated.thru constant meetings with both of them.
13.Negative Attitude .the community lost the love and trust in siniya.
14.poor coordination of administrator’s.The staff is divided .this has led the school behind.teacher don’t have the spirit and love of the school ,just there to earn only.
15.Free entry and exit by students.wic means concertration on books wapi mazima.
16.Lack of career guidance and councelling . students need abasiniya to go back and talk to these young boys.any thing can happen and u find the glory of the school coming back.
17.Decline in academics.the school lacks teachers and a few staff there are not willing to do the needful and even students lack the spirit of reading.
18.School fees payment is poor.according to the HM,only 7 students have cleared fees out of 158.
19.Power , electricity is also another problem coz no money to pay bills
20.The school is too too dirty.it needs rehabilitation.and bush sorrounds domitries.
21.Bikaganga,Makobore,lumumba are empty.all students stay in a few rooms of Bwakorswa.
So members those are few findings but if we wake up siniya can shine again.Progress thru labour
