The Police in Kisoro District are holding a 25 year old woman identified as Ruhangariyo Jacklyn a resident of Mulindi village Muhindura parish Kanaba Sub-county for alleged murder of her 2 year old son one Irasubiza Salvation.
It’s alleged that the incident took place yesterday, when Ntawigemera Anah woke up and went for church service leaving her grand children Amumpire Wisdom and her young sister lrasubiza Salvation still asleep in her house with their grandfather Kubwimana Herbert.
Kubwimana Herbert woke up and went to the garden to spray Irish potatoes, leaving the said grandchildren inside the house and when he came back home, he found only one child Amumpire Wisdom who told him that her young sister was picked by their mother Ruhangariyo taken and thrown in the water tank of Mukamulisi Jesca the grandmother to the suspect in the neighborhood.
Then Kubwimana Herbert responded very fast, made an alarm that attracted other residents and they checked in the tank and saw the deceased and removed his body and they immediately alerted Maniriho Fred the father to the deceased who also communicated to Police at Kanaba Sub-county Police post for assistance.
