Her family in Rukiga district jubilates
A lady from Rukiga district who went missing while in Saudi Arabia where she had gone to do casual work has finally reunited with her family.
Nyesigire Barbra 25 of Rwencwera cell Nyakanengo in Muhanga town council Rukiga district was recruited by Supreme Link Ltd Company found in Masanafu Kampala as a housemaid to work in Saudi Arabia in mid Feb 2021.
Talking to our reporter Mweteise Jane 48 the mother said they got information that her daughter got mental illness and escaped from where she was working from which prompted her to contact the Rukiga woman MP Hon Caroline Muhwezi for help.
Jane Mweteise also said that she was later told that her daughter Barbra was in Saudi Arabia government detention center and would be brought back to Uganda.
Nyesigire Barbra told our reporter that she felt relieved after stepping into Uganda yesterday 25th August 2022 at around 04 pm. She also told us that after reaching the country she was rushed to Malcom hospital located in Kibuye Kampala, for a medical checkup and later told to go home.
She expressed her appreciation to the work done by the Rukiga woman member of the parliament who ensured her coming back into the country safely. “I know my mother couldn’t sleep and for all those who tried in their capacities to see me here again, I can’t thank you enough only knows how He will reward them.
To Honorable Kamusiime Caroline I don’t Know she is a gift from God, when I found myself in the hands of authorities in Saudi Arabia, my prayer was that when will my people come to rescue me, I thought that only angels could do that. But when I had one of the officials tell each other that Hon Carlos had contacted them I took a deep breath and knew that God was soon rescuing me. I thank her so much” said Nyesigire Barbra.
In one of the Parliamentary sittings Honorable Kamusiime Caroline doubles as the 1st Vice President Pan African Parliamentary corcas raised on the floor of Parliament as a matter of National importance and implored Government to do everything it can to trace Barbra and bring her back dead or alive to her family.
In her words Hon Caroline says that she’s happy to see Barbra is back in the country safe and sound. She says that when she contacted the Prime Minister in her office she promised her to do everything Possible working with the line ministry, the Uganda Embassy in Saudi Arabia and relevant stakeholders to ensure Barbra is back.
“When family told me I also did not sit, I started moving from office to office, contacted the Saudi Arabia Ugandan Embassy but could not get answers. I felt relaxed when I went to the Prime Minister’s office in Kampala who promised to do everything Possible working with the line ministry, the Uganda Embassy in Saudi Arabia and relevant stakeholders to ensure Barbra is back.” Said by Kamusiime Caroline.
Jane Mweteise thanked Honorable Kamusiime Caroline for her tireless efforts, moving office to office and making numerous communications to the Ugandan Embassy in Saudi Arabia to trace her daughter where she had gone through untold suffering and could not be traced by her family. “After a very long struggle, my daughter Nyesigire Barbra is back and alive, I don’t know how much I can thank our MP Kamusiime Caroline only put her in the hands of God, to God be the groly” said by Jane Mweteise.
