“This morning in various hospitals, we are checking on our comrades who were brutalised by JAT, police and the military at the start of this week.
Mukisa Prossy Nabbosa was badly beaten in the chest and back, and bears marks of whipping all over her body.
Olivia Katende’s back was broken when they stepped on her and kicked her several times.
Mayega was hit with batons and electric wires (solido) on the face and the back.
Our comrade Zai is recovering, having been hit with a rubber bullet on her forehead.
Our comrade Mutyaaba Henry is also recovering steadily at Mulago hospital after his skull was broken.
They are all very strong and united in demanding for justice for the crimes committed against them.
They appreciate all of you who have stood in solidarity with them.
It is very unfortunate the price so many people have had to pay for simply believing that Uganda deserves better!”

Lewis Rubongoya the NUP SG and a NUP lady whose thigh was beaten by UPDF soldiers is nursing wounds in Hospital.
Rubogoya is a single guy, will he nurse and marry this lady soon? Are these two lovers? However, they are partly happy since NUP candidate Lawyer Elias Luyimbazi won as the Kawempe North MP.
It is said that recently Gen. Muhoozi K. called Rubongoya a Murundi from Burundi but Eubongoya quickly hit back saying he is a Mutooro from Fortportal so which is which?.
