President Yoweri Museveni has said he will punish Minister Henry Musasizi and Road fund boss Eng. Naimanye for allegedly calling him a liar.
President Museveni made the statement reacting to comments by the Bunyangabu LC5 boss who reported Minister Henry Musasizi and Road fund boss Eng. Naimanye for allegedly calling him(Museveni) a liar.
The Bunyangabu LC5 boss Moses Ategeka Mugarama Entare said the President earlier made pledges to work on their bridges but when they followed up in Musasizi’s office and Road fund later the two allegedly told him that President Museveni had lied them since government has no funds to do their bridges.
The Bunyangabu LC5 boss made the comments recently when the President was on his PDM tour in Rwezori region.
The President said he will quiz them, could this mean the end of Minister Musasizi and Eng. Naimanye ?
Dr. Eng. Andrew Grace Naimanye, was the Executive Director of the Uganda Road Fund (URF) and is now an assistant commissioner in the ministry of works and transport. The President asked weather Eng Naimanye was still in government.
We could not get comments from the two officials who are accused of calling the President a liar.
However, some sources have said that Minister Musasizi is planning to sue the Bunyangabu LC5 boss for alleged defamation.
Meanwhile the President has pledged more funds to the same bridges in Bunyangabu.
Moses Ategeka Mugarama Entare has plans to contest as MP for Bunyangabu constituency in the forthcoming polls.
Minister Musasizi has pressure from his political rival for MP seat from one Jogo Kenneth Baryamureba. Some locals consider him arrogant and he may get problems if the President reprimands him for calling him a liar.
