Talking to Us in an Interview Mr. Kasami Rogers Mike a Ugandan Presidential aspirant has sounded a big warning to corrupt civil servants and politicians saying if he is elected President he will jail all of them.

“When I am made President, I mean elected by Ugandans in the next elections (2026) I will lock up all corrupt civil servants and politicians.

I will also endeavor that we sale their investments and property to Ugandan tax payers money” he added.

He said Uganda which has issues with social services to an extent that there are no drugs in hospitals, shortage of health workers, poor education and other services it is absurd that President Museveni’s government has failed to curb corruption in word and deed.

He said Uganda like many other African countries is not poor because of the special natural endowments; youth full and energetic population but that resources and opportunities are being squandered by poor leadership.

Mr. Kasami wondered what the future generations will find if the present leaders and people/parents do not plan for future generations.

He said besides putting up infrastructures for development such as roads, electricity, power and water among others, Mr Kasami emphasized the need to skill the youth and plan to have a healthy population which he said is key and fundamental for development to be attained by any country and economy.

Mr. Kasami said that the locals also need adequate and suitable financing which is pivotal for any business and small scale business success.

He partly admired the leaders in the developed economies for making sacrifices for future generations and called for the resignation of President Museveni and his entire cabinet saying they had betrayed Ugandans.

“This rate of corruption in Uganda is alarming, we need to have these officials to rot in jail and recover the stolen monies from them, and we cannot put soft gloves to these officials who are responsible for the underdevelopment in Uganda”

Recently Kasami blamed President Museveni’s government for appointing assistant RDC’s saying they are overstretching the administrative burden of the Ugandan government.

“There are already salary discrepancies among public servants whereby the scientists are earning more than the Arts human resource. In fact some are even earning more than their supervisors. There is no much attention the government seems to be paying to that but now new jobs have been created for assistant RDC’s where is our country heading?

It was so unnecessary to create this position (assistant RDC’s).Not at such a time when the citizens hearts are bleeding; public health facilities, institutions, and infrastructure among others are so wanting but are not given the priority they deserve” Mr Kasami said.

President Museveni has tried of recent to crackdown on suspected corrupt officials and MPs but the public seems un satisfied.

” Ugandans wants such money saved and used to attend to their needs as tax payers not to remain in the hands of these corrupt officials ”  Kasami added.
