SIRONKO Local Council (LC3) Chairperson and a lady have been remanded for allegedly hacking Into PDM beneficiaries Accounts.
Mukota Patrick Bernard and Nambozo Hellen were arrested following earlier investigations into the alleged Mishandling of PDM funds in Sironko District and these 2 were charged with unauthorized use of computer services and theft on Tuesday, 27th February, 2024 thereby joining Magomu Eddy, who had been previously arrested for the allegations his SIM card registered under Magomu Eddy’s name to fraudulently obtain Shs5M from the PDM Wendi Account app
Mukota is the Busita Sub county LC3 Chairperson. He is alleged to have committed the fraud with Nambozo Hellen.
The two were Tuesday arraigned in Sironko Chief Magistrate’s Court Presided over by his Worship Fred Katugume who remanded them to MUTUFU Prison.
