This tricky and very disturbing situation has not spared a Ugandan man one Steven Kimera .W. now living in a Swedish detention facility threatened with deportation to Uganda.

The troubled man fears coming to Uganda where he may be prosecuted over gay related activities that are criminalized and if charged one can face life imprisonment or death under the 2023 Anti-Homosexuality Act.

He and other asylum seekers first arrived in Sweden 5 years ago. Kimera then had fled the hostile situation in Uganda over his sexuality. For five full years, He (Kimera) lived there, filing asylum claim after claim. Sweden denied him every time he applied together with 9 other asylum seekers who include Asians and Africans.

Kimera fell sick, mentally drained and emotionally helpless, exhausted, he fled again to Germany. Germany gave some interviews and was un lucky was unsuccessful.

Sources told this newspaper that the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) the Germany body in charge of refugees and asylum, refused to give him protection and on Monday 2rd/ March/ 2026 police raided his state, rounded him and 9 others from Garmischer Street, HeimeranPlatz in Munich-Bavaria and deported them to Sweden.

“These people were not warned, no appeal, no chance for them was given to meet their lawyers. And they were straight away handed over to the Swedish Airport police which has put him into a very Strick detention centre” a source told our reporter today.

The source further said “Sweeden after revisiting his file discovered that he had been denied asylum status in Sweden before he moved to Germany and now, they want to deport him to Uganda.

A source added “This is not policy, this is cruelty. Sweden knew Uganda’s laws. Germany knew them too. Yet both chose night-time arrests and forced returns over safety. And yet those are the same people claiming to be Human Rights defenders. Kimera W and the other foreigners facing deportation request Sweden to stop the deportation”

The source said that “Germany should explain why they deported asylum seekers because they social and sexual problems are well known by “BAMF” accommodation in Germany are open to research on and ascertain the truth for example on Steve” .

Kimera ’s case is very clear since even in Uganda he appeared in the local newspapers when he was arrested over his sexuality sometime back before he fled the country.
