Prof. RtD Justice Hon. GW Kanyeihamba, the Ugandan patriotic icon and advocate of good governance globally. With grief and unusual tears, the Hero has fallen! Endlessly to Say you are irreplaceable though many have left or are to leave legacies. I stand Up right to Say with appreciation of your legacy and un common human achievements in the Professional academic world, executive arm of Government as a former Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, you were a great asset in the making and designing the content of the Constitution of Uganda in 1994 where you were my CA delegate for Rubanda East Constituency.
Your great legislative contribution shall never leave the Parliamentary Hansard. You served us as our Chancellor at Kampala International University and Kabale University hence forth continued to stand in my mentor since 2007 to 2011 respectively.
The Books published including; title that is ” the Incredible, the “Joy of who you are” and many more on constitutionalism and Human Rights. Days may be many while mourning. I got a chance to be mentored to be a resilient, not corrupt, honest and none compromising growing national politician since 2005 when I stood as MP in NRM primaries for Rubanda County East.
I was also privileged to be one of key smart 24 Television interviewer of Prof. Dr. RtD GW Kanyeihamba on numerous topical discussions in 2023 (this content is accessible on U tube).
A lot of lessons were drawn nationally and internationally. I Am ever great full for the trust and full support of 1million that Prof. Kanyeihamba gave me when I stood in the East Africa Legislative Assembly in 2022.
The unusual generosity you showed challenges me up today while you are no more. Hon. Justice Prof. Dr. W. G. Kanyeihamba where you are may God almighty give you Eternal Peace and rest. You have left me by desired remobilised team work with a Task of advancing the Kanyeihamba Foundation, Kanyeihamba Research Center. While cherishing all your Achievements and un common courage, I led a Labour Union movement as chairman of UPASU and coordinated our executive leadership with Former Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda during 2016 in advocacy for Labour rights.
I personally will ever remember your Legacy and due to the land mark Legacy you have left i was inspired to study bachelor of Law in addition to Doctor of Philosophy in Management Science, Public Administration.
On this last point, fallen, Mzee Prof. Your mentee says May Your Soul Rest in Eternal Peace. Immediate family and Friends, be firm in the Lord Jesus Christ the Hope of Glory. Prof. GW Kanyeihamba ran a race and now is to get a heavenly prize God alone may grant him.
