My dear brothers and sisters,
Dr. Gad Rugaju often reminds people that life on earth is short, but eternity is forever. Titles, wealth, politics, and positions will all fade. The only things that will follow us beyond the grave are three: whether we accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, how we lived our lives and gave account, and whether our name is written in the Book of Life.
I write this letter not as a politician, but as a servant of God, a husband, a father, and a leader who has walked 25 years in both government and ministry. I have seen power come and go. I have buried friends and buried dreams. And I have learned one truth: _what you do with Jesus today determines where you spend eternity tomorrow.
ACCEPTING JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR

> John 14:6 — “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”_
> Romans 10:9 — “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Accepting Jesus is not joining a church or wearing a cross. It is surrender. It is saying: “Jesus, take the pen of my life and write my story.”
In government we sign documents to give them power. In heaven, the only signature that gives you access is the Blood of Jesus. Without Him, all our good deeds are like “filthy rags” Isaiah 64:6.
I plead with you today: Don’t postpone this decision. Tomorrow is not promised. “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts” Hebrews 3:15.
THE ACCOUNTABILITY OF HOW WE LIVED ON EARTH
One day every leader, every parent, every civil servant, every youth will stand before God. Not to blame the system, not to give excuses, but to give account.
Romans 14:12 — “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”
My leadership principle is this: “All excuses are equal, but they don’t cancel the responsibility.” Dr. Ahimbisibwe Gad Rugaju (PhD, DCM) The same is true before God.
He will ask:
– Did you serve people with integrity or with corruption?
– Did you use your position to lift others or to oppress them?
– Did you keep your word? Did you practice restitution when you wronged someone?
– Did you point people to Christ with your life?
God does not grade on a curve. He will judge according to the light we received and the opportunities we had. That is why _“To whom much is given, much will be required” Luke 12:48.
IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE?
This is the final question. Not “Were you RDC? Were you rich? Were you famous?”Not even “Were you a Bishop, Pastor, Church Warden, or Missioner?”
The question is: “Is your name written?”
> Revelation 20:15 “Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.”
> Revelation 21:27 “Nothing impure will ever enter it… but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”
> Luke 10:20 “However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Listen carefully: Even if you are a Bishop, Pastor, Church Leader, Church Warden, or Missioner — if your name is not written in the Book of Life, forget about heaven.
Position in church does not guarantee position in heaven. Pulpits, titles, robes, and microphones will not open the gates of pearls. Only the Blood of Jesus does.
Your name enters the Book of Life the moment you receive Jesus. It stays there as you walk in repentance, obedience, and faith. It is blotted out when we choose to return to sin and reject grace Revelation 3:5.
Church attendance will not put your name there. Tithing will not put your name there. Preaching will not put your name there. Only the Blood of the Lamb does.
CONCLUSION: A PERSONAL PLEA FROM DR. GAD RUGAJU
My brothers and sisters, I have sat in boardrooms and in prayer rooms. I have signed government documents and I have knelt at altars. And I tell you plainly: _the signature that matters most is not on any government paper. It is Jesus writing your name in the Book of Life.
Do not waste your life chasing things that rust. Do not dilute your faith with excuses. Do not misuse God’s grace as permission to sin Romans 6:1-2.
Today I ask you to do 3 things:
1. Receive Jesus now — Pray: “Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. Come into my heart. Be my Lord and Savior. Wash me with your Blood.”
2. Live accountably Examine your life. Where you have stolen, return it. Where you have hurt, restore it. Where you have delayed, act today. “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” Hebrews 10:24.
3. Secure your eternity Walk daily with Christ so that when the books are opened, your name is found written.
I do not know how many days God has given me on this earth. But I know this: I want to hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant” Matthew 25:23, not “I never knew you” Matthew 7:23.
The world will forget your position. Your office will get a new occupant. Your church title will be given to another. But heaven and hell are forever.
Choose Jesus today. Live accountably today. Check that your name is written today.
