The National President of Generation Pastors Network (GPN) Apostle Gift Mugisha has disclosed that they will be planning to establish the first Born Again Christians (Balokore) Bank in Uganda.
Speaking during a preparatory meeting for the National prayer day at Kololo due on 4th August, 2026, Apostle Mugisha urged his executive members to start saving seriously so that their SACCO, Union funds’ portfolios grows which will soon evolve into a commercial Bank.
“We will soon establish the first Born Again Christians (Balokore) bank in Uganda, but this will not just happen we have to start saving, trading, investing and theink about starting big business and agricultural ventures worth billions of shillings.
When we get funds for our SACCO from the government soon, we should be able to roll out big, but are we ready and prepared to work at that massive scale?” he asked.
Apostle Mugisha(above in photo) made the remarks this afternoon while addressing hundreds of Pastors affiliated to GPN at their office at Namamonde B zone, a short distance off Kampala Gayaza – Luwero High way.
He caused laughter when he told Pastors that when they are given individual loans to bolster their businesses they should not divert it to church needs such as church rent, Public address system or other church needs.
“An individual Pastor’s loan must be directed to a business for which, he or she secured the loan not being diverted to church needs such a church machines” Apostle Mugisha.
Apostle Mugisha said hopefully after receiving President Museveni’s funds to support the GPN pastors SACCO, the pastors will receive several trainings aimed at sharpen their financial literacy and business acumen so that the received loan funds is put to the right use and is as well made profitable.
Addressing himself on the some churches that face serious financial difficulty, Apostle Mugisha said they were crafting another loan portfolio that could be directed to churches that need uplifting especially those that lack permanent church structures.
He stressed that the ideal of creating a commercial Bank, Pastors SACCOS and union are all targeting to finance Pastors businesses and projects aimed at poverty eradication among Born Again Christians (Balokore).
DFCU bank’s agricultural loan boss Alex Madolo shared to the Pastor’s lots of agricultural loans in his bank that are untapped yet can be so resourceful to GPN and individual pastors.
Generation Pastors Network (GPN) a though a recently established Pastors network or orgainisation has mobilized country wide with Pastors who are planning to attend Prayers this Tuesday at Kololo grounds in Kampala. President Yoweri Museveni is expected to attend as the chief guest.

Apostle Mugisha also said that if Pastors are financially empowered, their congregations will be inspired to work, develop and also get out of poverty. GPN leaders were visibly seen ready and eager to fulfill their devine obligation of fighting poverty from the Pentecostal church.

And besides finances where they begin to pray and to speak in other tongues, one would think that Jesus is coming back tomorrow; they are still spiritual but are now tired of poverty.
A source at state House said the President has been giving out huge sums of money to organized groups and said GPN leaders are also favored and poised to receive support from the President.
“Artists, a Muslim group, youths and women groups have all and others received billions of Ugandan shillings from the President, he is out from the ‘talk’ to ‘waking the talk’ and he (President Museveni) is ready and will support any organized groups that have good agendas” a source added.
Meanwhile Bishop Israel from Mukono district has called upon all Christians to come to Kololo on Tuesday and pray for Uganda and the church so that it can witness an economic turnaround.
