Kasami Mike Rogers a Ugandan Presidential hopeful for 2026 elections has said that Ugandans must intensify fighting corruption in the new year.

Speaking to the eastafricanwatch.net online newspaper at his home in Kampala Kasami said corruption has cost Ugandans development.

“You have read the mabati scandal, and others these resources ended up in few individual hands yet they are national resources.

Let’s work together report the corrupt government officials and politicians who are robbing Uganda of its wealth in 2026”

Sharing his new year message today Hon Kasami a former URA staff also asked Ugandans to be hard working.

“Let every Ugandan find some work to do and not just chasing for jobs which are very few” he added.

He said just like St Paul shared in the Bible for Christians saying those who do not work should not eat; all mature Ugandans should find and do some work.

Hon Kasami repeated his earlier made statement that if Ugandan who love him vote him to power as President next year, he will jail all the corrupt and recover the money they have stolen.

Commenting on next year’s elections he advised President Yoweri Museveni to hand over power peaceful to him if Ugandans vote him (Hon Kasami).

Hon Kasami advised the electoral commission to prepare to dispense a free and elections exercise saying democracy is paramount to development of any country.

Kasami who is also a farmer will be the first Mutoro citizen to contest for presidency but complained that they were some imbalances made by the NRM government and conflicts which urgently need to be addressed.

Hitting on what he plans to do for Uganda he said he intends to revamp the economy and that he will emphasize vocational education, agriculture where citizens are given an agricultural bank to finance their agriculture and value addition and improve international trade protocols to help Ugandans access the international markets among others.
